Do you
remember this picture from the presentation?
Think about when Jimmy was lying in that hospital bed. Do you think when he was feeling
frustrated and had been told he would never walk again, that he could imagine one
day skydiving with the Red Devils??
Remember this picture when you are feeling down or when things seem hopeless. Things
will always get better. And you will gain added confidence in yourself and character
by coming through adversity.

Do you remember this picture from the presentation?
Think about when Paul Sculthorpe was told that he was finished by the media. And
when a top surgeon told him that he had no chance of playing in the World Club Championships
against Brisbane.
If Scully had listened to the voices, to the people telling him he couldn’t do something,
then he wouldn’t have been holding this trophy.
Remember this picture when people tell YOU that you can’t do something. And it could
be YOU that is having doubts. If you listen to the doubters and give up then you
will never achieve your goals. If you keep pushing, work every day towards meeting
your goals, then you have every chance of being a success.
Perspective
Everyone has moments when they think that they can’t do something. When this happens
to you, think back to the presentation.
Remember when Scully thought that there was no way he could complete a marathon.
That he “wasn’t built” for long distance running! Sometimes all you need is a change
of perspective.
Can you remember what made Scully change his perspective and how he found out how
he could push himself beyond the limits he previously thought he had?
