- Are you working hard but not getting where you want to be?
- Are there areas of your life that you want to change?
- Would you like to show your workforce that they can achieve anything if they set their minds to it?
- Are you looking for a speaker that will drive home the messages you want your audience to hear?
Why Choose Jimmy?
If the answer is Yes to one of the above then you need to hear the story of Jimmy Gittins.
In the year 2000 Jimmy Gittins was a professional rugby player and he had a successful builders company turning over millions of pounds a year. Jimmy had already overcome more than his fair share of adversity just keeping his company going during the recession of the early 90’s that had devastated the UK construction industry.
In 2002 after a freak rugby accident Jimmy lay in a hospital bed, his neck broken in two places. Unable to move anything from his neck downwards he knew that he was in a lot of trouble, it was at this point that Jimmy was given the awful and direct news from his surgeon
“ You will never have children ”
“ You will never clean yourself ”
“ You will never be able to feed yourself ”
“ You will never walk again ”
If you ever feel like you are not succeeding or that you are going through difficult times then think about the situation that Jimmy was in, could you imagine a lower point?
From this awful dark place Jimmy began the long and slow journey back to success. He started setting goals and pushing himself every day.
After a few weeks he shaved himself
After a few months he was in the gym, pushing his body to get better
After 9 months he astounded the doctors by walking out of the hospital
And his journey didn’t stop there….
He has two beautiful children,
He has an award winning gym and rehab business changing the lives of many people suffering from severe disabilities
He is an ambassador for the State of Mind charity so that he can help others who might be in difficulty speaking to schools and audiences throughout the UK and Ireland.
And he has completed some incredible feats for charity, most recently becoming only the second person in history to complete the Lands End to John O'Groats trip on a hand cycle in a record time of just 11 days.
Jimmy’s achievements highlight a desire to never give up and the ability to set and then accomplish his goals, despite the negativity of those around him
In his motivational speeches and training sessions Jimmy is able to pass on the knowledge and secrets of success that he has picked up throughout his life.
Jimmy also has a great positive attitude and a sense of humour that come across brilliantly in his speeches. He takes the audience on a roller coaster ride of emotions often leaving the audience in tears one moment and then laughing out loud the next.
Jimmy’s messages are lessons that anyone can use to achieve their own goals and get to where they want to be
